Dr. Anoop Austin, M.D., Ph.D.,
Doctor of Medicine in Herbal Pharmacology, an Experienced Pharmacologist since 1994, with a rich experience of 30 years, and a pioneer in the study of Helicobacter pylori and peptic ulcer disease (PUD). At the same time, he is an experienced specialist in the fields of Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals, Functional foods, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, Over Counter products, and drugs.
Research and Development
Expertise in the development of analytical methods and validation of Herbal based formulations in Drugs, Cosmetics, Nutraceuticals, Foods, and Ethical products, by using various analytical instruments. Improvement and optimization of strategies for herbal arrangements by utilizing HPLC, HPTLC, AAS, etc. To his expertise, he is well versed in all kinds of herbal extraction methods and also developed an Extraction facility, with Good Agricultural practices.
Expertise in Preclinical and Clinical Research
He is involved in numerous preclinical and clinical studies with 7 Novel patents. Have published more than 350 Original Research articles, in National and International peer-reviewed journals and have authored 3 books. He has also received, more than 400 drug licenses for different types of formulations and established an international herbal testing laboratory. He has also submitted International regulation conformity registration dossiers for ASEAN, UAE, US, and EU markets. To his credit, he is a reviewer for many International Peer Reviewed Medical and Pharmacological journals.
Traveled extensively in the UAE, Singapore, Kenya, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Central America, and Hong Kong, and provided product training to doctors and pharmacists.
Projects Handled
Completed more than 125 product development Preclinical and Clinical trials and also completed 2 DST-funded projects for diabetes and kidney stones to a tune of INR 2.8 crore (USD 0.37 million) and has 7 Patents. I am currently working as Senior General Manager for R&D/Quality at apex laboratories private limited R&D Centre.
